My name is Cales, I am a proud USAF wife and mommy to my 17 month old daughter. I started MarieLynn Boutique in August 2007, and opened my website in February 2008. I took my love for crafts and children and put them together. MarieLynn Boutique allows me to stay at home with my daughter and make a financial contribution to our family.

What inspires you?
My daughter definitely inspires me! I make everything for her first. If she loves it and it makes life as a parent easier, I add it to the collection.
What drives you to create what you do?
MarieLynn Boutique allows me to express myself creatively, and it provides a much needed stress reliever.
What makes your work unique?
At MarieLynn Boutique, you get superb quality at an affordable price! I pay special attention to detail to ensure that you are receiving products that your children will cherish for years to come!
What role does your work play in your life? What role would you like it to play?
My work plays a huge role in my life. MarieLynn Boutique is my second baby. I am always thinking of ways to break away from other Boutiques and always thinking of new products to add. I have been blessed by the overwhelming love that people have for MarieLynn Boutique and our products!
How do you see your business evolving in the next five years?
I hope to open a brick and mortar boutique. This way my customers can come into our shoppe and see the items firsthand. Of course, I will still keep my website for our international customers.

Cales Cantrall started MarieLynn Boutique in August 2007, when she was 8 months pregnant with her daughter. "We live in Germany, and I noticed how hard it was to find hip, fashionable clothing and accessories for children. I decided to try my hand at hair bow making, and after my daughter was born, she would receive compliments on her hair bows and I would receive requests from mommies to make hair bows for their little girls," says Cales.
In February 2008, she opened her online boutique, http://marielynnboutique.com. Since it's opening, MarieLynn Boutique has added a number of trendy items to it's collection. Tutu's, Diaper Bags, Wipes Cases, Diaper Totes, and Nap Time Mats...just to name a few!
"My inspiration has definitely been my daughter. She is a total girly girl and it reflects in MarieLynn Boutique. We do have a small collection of items for boys, and I plan on adding more in the near future!" MarieLynn Boutique's best selling items are their Hair Accessories and Diaper Bags.

I am satisfied when I hear feedback from my customer. I am not happy unless they are absolutely in love with their product. So far, I've never had any complaints! - What frustrates you the most?
There aren't enough hours in the day to work on my site, make new products, and be a mommy and a wife. I really don't know how I do it, I think the loads of caffeine I consume each day help! :) - Name the best thing you have ever done to promote your business?
Hm, I learn new things everyday. I would have to say that word of mouth has been my biggest promotion. My customers are amazing, and they tell all of their friends and family about MarieLynn Boutique. - What have you done that has been the biggest waste of time regarding your business?
Gosh, I would hate to think that I've done anything to waste time. The only thing that I can think of is that I get so sidetracked online. I will be reading different forums and see a website that I like. I usually end up browsing that site and purchasing things. So in the end, I lose valuable time that I could have been working and money. But, I always come out with great items for my daughter! :) - If you could offer only one tip or piece of advice to a new website owner what would it be?
Take your time! Don't feel like you have to do it all in one day. I've decided to make a to-do list for the year, instead of a daily to do list. It keeps me from feeling overwhelmed. - If you were able to do anything what would you do with your business that you haven't done yet because of lack of time, money, etc?
I would love to add more items and apparel to the site. Which I plan to now that the CPSIA law has been postponed for a year! yay!
